We should look into Mad Men and Grease for styling ideas. They're both quite influential for 1950's fashion.
Smaller details like collars and cats-eye glasses would make everything look more 1950's if we can't get many clothes for the shoot.
Katy Perry did this shoot for Vanity Fair this year (bar the GHD campaign), these shoots might be quite good to draw our own photo ideas from, as well as locations and props.
